This is an extremely primitive cupboard sheep.  They are fat and plumpy and measure approximately 9" when completed as shown.  The pattern gives directions for making both the primitive sheep and cotton seed batting sheep.  You will also receive the poems if you wish to use them.

"And spring arose in the garden fair
Like the spirit of Love felt everywhere
And each flower and herb on earths dark
breast, rose from the dream of its
