Primitive Patriotic Sheep Door Doll
Kentucky Primitives folk artist
Victoria Lynn
Simple Primitives done in the tradition of old
This is the
most awesome patriotic sheep door doll. He is made in the
old style. He is rag stuffed. His cotton batting tail
is held on by a rusty nail. He has the sweetest face and
tiny ears. He wears a collar around his neck with a rusty
bell. He hangs by twine and has four old stick legs.
The American blanket drapes over his back and is attached by rusty
safety pins. A stained tag is sewn on to his blanket which
reads "American Wool". Rusty bells are sewn to the tips of
his American blanket. This is a wonderful doll that can hang
on your door or anywhere throughout your home all year long.
He measures
approximately 14" wide by 17½" tall.
