Simple Primitives done in the tradition of old
This is a beautiful
handmade open book. It is done so primitively. The
book has been put through many processes to achieve this look.
It has been painted, stained, and stiffened. The corners of
the pages have been curled up and stiffened also. The book
cannot be closed. On one side there is a vintage photo of
a snowman and on the other side is the song Frosty the Snowman. Sweet annie adorns the top of the
book along with a few red berries. I added a white frosting
of "snow" to the sweet annie, and the entire display is lightly
sprinkled with vintage snow.
This is a beautiful
Christmas display that you will love to set out at Christmastime. It
also looks wonderful just laying on a side table without the
stand.
This display measures approximately 8½" tall by 12 inches wide
(not including the bookstand). The bookstand is included. |
