Once
Upon a Time - The Old German Witch ~ e-pattern
Kentucky Primitives folk artist
Victoria Lynn
Simple Primitives done in the tradition of old This
is the second one (there are three). She is the German
witch.
This
is an extremely primitive old witch. She is very old.
She has some wrinkling around her eyes, and on her face and nose,
and especially around her mouth.
This
is just a wonderful and simple display for Halloween,
Her
hair is extra long and dangly.
She
is approximately 24½" tall
(not counting the bend in her hat). She
can be made a simple primitive witch. You do not have to
make them a certain ethnicity.
If
you wish you can put the mark "HEXE" on the side
of her face, which is German for "Witch". All of the townspeople have seen her
mark since she wears it on her forehead. She is kind of feisty.
Underneath
the brim of her hat reveals when she became a witch. It is
written in German "Es war Einmal 1537", which means
"Once upon a time 1537". (This is optional). |
