Simple Primitives done in the tradition of old
It's an early autumn morning on the farm. The air is chilly and Mattie throws on her old shawl and her pet hen puts on his warm socks and they are off to gather eggs. Mattie is made in the olde style, she is completely rag stuffed. Her nose and mouth are pinch stitched, and her eyes are black shoe buttons. Her hair is sheep's wool. Her apron is sewn to her body and so is her shawl. She carries a sack of fresh eggs. Her pet hen has stick legs and a bell around his neck. She measures approximately 21" tall
when completed as shown.
Her eggs are made
from oven bake clay.
God bless you.
